Of the "Dainty" class, this tug was purchased as surplus from the Admiralty by the Foundation Maritime Co. of Canada, and rebuilt for salvage and rescue work. It spent the remainder of its operational life in that role as the legendary "Foundation Franklin". The book, Gray Seas Under, relates many exploits.
