44' USCG Lifeboat

Designed in 1960 to replace older lifesaving craft, these are still a familiar sight in many harbors. Self-righting, their handling in rough seas is legendary, and the design was even adopted by the famed British R.N.L.I. as their "Waveney-Class" of boats.
